About this project

What does CrystalBlocks add?

Crystal Blocks

Vanilla building block sets don't leave much room for texture variety once you've used up stone, brick, and quartz. This mod adds 7 more block families, each in 6 colors, so you've got somewhere to go once you've built the same three houses out of the same three materials.

My Second mod, built from scratch — no mechanics, no gimmicks, just blocks.

Families

Family Look Crafted from
Crystal glowing diagonal vein in stone stone + dye
Speckle scattered mineral flecks cobblestone + dye
Brick offset masonry, proper mortar lines bricks + dye
Corroded blotchy rust patches iron nugget + dye
Mossy patchy organic overlay moss block + dye
Marble flowing curved vein quartz block + dye
Hexplate honeycomb plating iron ingot + dye

Each family comes in cyan, red, green, purple, orange, and blue. Each color gets the full building set: block, slab, stairs, fence, fence gate, wall.

Glow variants

Every family also has one glowing block, crafted with glowstone dust instead of dye, full light level. Glow variants get block, slab, and stairs — no fence/gate/wall. Nobody's building a glowing fence line, so that set stayed out on purpose.

Details that matter

Slabs waterlog properly — place one in water and it holds like a vanilla slab. Fences, gates, and walls waterlog too, though that's their vanilla base classes doing the work, not something built for this mod specifically.

Everything drops itself when broken and needs at least a stone pickaxe. All blocks live in their own creative tab instead of getting buried in vanilla's building blocks tab.

The screenshot is just a example how it looks its one i know, but there is so many blocks i cannot screenshot all of them rn here.
