About this project

What does FactoryFPS add?

FactoryFPS

Smoother modded factories. Fewer visual frame spikes. Zero gameplay changes.

FactoryFPS is a lightweight client-side performance utility built for dense technology bases. It monitors the client's reported frame rate and applies an adaptive budget to repeated or distant visual particles produced by supported factory mods. When performance is healthy it preserves generous visual limits. When frames become expensive it progressively removes low-value duplicate effects.

This is deliberately a focused optimizer, not a magic FPS claim. The exact result depends on the pack, hardware, factory layout and which effects are causing the slowdown. Use /factoryfps status to see what FactoryFPS actually inspected and reduced in your current session.

Supported ecosystems

  • Create
  • Mekanism
  • Applied Energistics 2
  • Sophisticated Storage and Sophisticated Backpacks
  • Immersive Engineering
  • Thermal Series
  • Industrial Foregoing
  • Botania

All integrations are automatic and optional. FactoryFPS can identify custom particles directly and can associate vanilla particle types with a supported machine block at their spawn position.

What it never changes

FactoryFPS does not alter recipes, machine speed, kinetic stress, inventories, redstone, block entities, server ticks or saved worlds. It is client-side and is not required on a dedicated server.

Commands

  • /factoryfps status — live pressure and reduction counters
  • /factoryfps profile auto — adaptive default
  • /factoryfps profile quality — very generous limits
  • /factoryfps profile balanced — consistent medium protection
  • /factoryfps profile performance — strongest visual budget
  • /factoryfps profile off — bypass all filtering
  • /factoryfps reload — reload config/factoryfps.json
  • /factoryfps reset — reset live counters

  • /factoryfps profile off — désactive le filtrage
  • /factoryfps reload — recharge config/factoryfps.json
