About this project
What does Combat-Ranked mod add?
Combat Mod is a server-side PvP balancing and combat management mod for Minecraft, designed for competitive multiplayer servers running Minecraft Java Edition. It provides admins with a comprehensive set of tools to enforce fair combat rules, rank-based progression, and item restrictions — all configurable through an in-game GUI. Type /combat menu in chat.
⚔️ Combat Tagging
When two players attack each other, both are marked as combat tagged for a configurable number of seconds (default: 15s). A countdown is shown in the action bar. While combat tagged:
- Logging out results in automatic death and rank loss.
- Ender Chest access is blocked (configurable).
- Elytra doesen't work (configurable).
- Rockets don't work (configurable).
🏆 Ranked System
A top-10 leaderboard tracks the best PvP players /combat rank, /combat rank top. Killing a higher-ranked player swaps your rank with theirs. Higher-ranked players receive:
- Bonus max health (up to +10 hearts for Rank #1)
- Passive potion effects (Speed, Strength, Fire Resistance for top 3)
- Rank is also lost on death from environmental hazards (lava, fall) while in combat with another player
🛡️ Immunity System
New or recently respawned players receive configurable immunity (default: 60s) during which they cannot be attacked.
🕒 Item Cooldowns (In-Combat)
Custom cooldowns enforced server-side on powerful items while in combat:
- Ender Pearl
- Mace (activates with a smash attack on players)
- Trident (Riptide)
- Spear (Lunge)
📦 World-Limited Items
Admins can restrict specific items to one owner at a time (e.g., only 1 Mace allowed per player globally). These items:
- Cannot be stored in chests, barrels, hoppers, shelves, or any container
- Cannot be picked up by hoppers from the ground
- Can only be dropped on the ground
- Restriction applies 24/7, not just in combat
🧪 Inventory Item Limits
Per-item stack limits can be set for players' inventories (optionally enforced only during combat). Excess items are automatically dropped.
⚗️ Enchantment & Potion Controls
Enchantment level caps — limit any enchantment to a maximum level
Potion controls — disable or cap specific potion effects (e.g., ban Strength II)
🔧 Admin GUI
All settings are configurable in-game via /combat menu.
