About this project
What does Universal Talent Editor add?
Universal Talent Editor — Visual In-Game Talent Editor
Universal Talent Editor is a standalone, server-authoritative, and data-driven visual talent system editor for Minecraft 1.20.1 Forge.
It provides an in-game GUI that allows modpack creators and server administrators to visually create, configure, validate, and manage RPG-style talent systems. Most supported definitions and effects can be configured without manually editing JSON or writing scripts.
Features
- Visual in-game editors for talents, rarities, draw pools, counters, talent-book layouts, and configured items.
- Searchable GUI selectors for registered attributes and other configurable resources.
- Static and dynamic attribute modifiers, maintained status effects, effect immunities, and event-driven effects.
- Visual configuration of trigger conditions, chance, cooldowns, activation limits, damage, healing, retaliation, status effects, messages, sounds, and targeted draw searches.
- Configurable 1–5 choice draws, refresh counts, talent limits, and luck weighting.
- Automatic or manual talent synthesis.
- Customizable talent-book pages, slots, backgrounds, icons, sounds, and acquisition presentation.
- In-game validation and previews before definitions are saved and enabled.
- Persistent player talents, draw tokens, counters and trigger state.
- Server-side validation, revision conflict protection, transaction history, backups, undo, and rollback on failure.
- Safe import and export of definitions and managed resource packs.
