Straight Arrows
Straight Arrows is a lightweight Forge mod that makes archery feel faster, cleaner, and more precise without adding new weapons, enchantments, abilities, keybinds, or progression systems.
The goal is simple: fully draw your bow, aim at your target, and the arrow goes where you're aiming.
Features
- Fully drawn arrows fly completely straight
- No gravity
- No arrow drop
- Extremely fast projectile speed
- Improved accuracy toward your aim direction
- Partial draws still use gravity
- Quick shots remain less accurate and ballistic
- Full draws are rewarded with straight-flight arrows
- Fast arrows
- Player-fired arrows travel at approximately 5× their normal speed
- Projectile damage is compensated so the increased velocity does not simply multiply arrow damage
- Works with vanilla bows and arrows
- Supports many modded bows and arrows that use Minecraft's standard
AbstractArrowprojectile system - Crossbows also benefit from straight projectile flight
