About this project

What does create - magic blueprint add?

Magic Blueprint

What it does

A new item for Create: the Magic Blueprint (magicblueprint:magic_blueprint). It works exactly like the vanilla Create schematic — write a structure into it at the Schematic Table, carry it around with the usual hologram and tool bar, deploy it, use it in a Schematicannon — with one difference: once deployed, it can be printed in Survival Mode. Printing places the structure instantly and consumes the blueprint (one use only).

Features

  • New item based on Create's SchematicItem: same GUI, same tooltips, same interactions.
  • Schematic Table: put it in the input slot, pick a .nbt file and confirm — the structure is written into the blueprint (the sprite changes from a rolled scroll to a blueprint sheet).
  • Magic Print: after deploying, the "Print" tool works in Survival and is relabelled to "Magic Print". Right-click to place the structure instantly; the blueprint is destroyed.
  • Cleaner tool bar: once a Magic Blueprint is deployed, the now-useless "Deploy" entry is hidden (move the hologram with Move XZ / Move Y instead).

How to use

  1. Select a structure with the Schematic and Quill and save it as a .nbt file.
  2. /give @p magicblueprint:magic_blueprint (it is also in the Creative tabs).
  3. Put the Magic Blueprint into a Schematic Table, select your file, confirm the upload.
  4. Hold the written blueprint, deploy it where you want it, switch the tool bar to Magic Print and right-click.
  5. The structure appears instantly and the blueprint is gone. Craft/make another one for a second use.

Obtaining

There is no crafting recipe on purpose — this item is meant to be a modpack reward. Hand it out with /give, quest rewards, loot tables, or KubeJS. (You can of course add your own recipe in your pack with KubeJS.)

Requirements

  • Minecraft 1.20.1 + Forge 47.x
  • Create 6.0.8 (required, [6.0.0,))
  • Must be installed on both client and server: the client handles the tool bar / blueprint detection, the server enforces "survival printing + consumption".
