About this project
What does WayOut add?

WayOut is a simple and lightweight client-side mod for Fabric and NeoForge that attempts to pathfind and visualize the easiest way out of a cave.
The WayOut mod performs a best-effort scan of the surrounding loaded chunks for open spaces that reach to the surface, and routes you through them with a visual line that is easy to follow.
Just press R to activate! (Keybind can be changed)
WayOut can also be used as a "Breadcrumbs" mod. Activate when entering a cave, and the way out will be marked unless a faster way out is detected along the way!
If a proper open way out cannot be found, while deep underground, the mod will calculate the easiest vertical way out, involving the least amount of digging and towering up, and avoiding dangers.
Blue Trail - Follow it to find the way out!
Yellow Block Outline - Tower up to advance to the surface!
Red Block Outline - Break block to continue your ascent!
Blue Block Outline - Swim up to fresh air!
Features

Easily find your way up to the surface

Automatically find the nearest exit of most caves

Stuck deep underground with no exit in sight? Break red outlined blocks and set yourself free!

Even deep underground with no open way out - vertical pathfinding will save you as much digging and towering up as possible
