About this project

What does Equipment Stealer add?

🗡️ Equipment Stealer

Equipment Stealer is an immersive Fabric mod that allows you to disarm and strip equipped armor, weapons, and tools directly from mobs in real time. Instead of relying purely on RNG mob drops upon death, take control of the battlefield with tactical, high-risk, high-reward pickpocket mechanics.

✨ Features

📦 Dynamic 3D Equipment Animations

  • True 3D Floating Models: When you begin stealing, the equipment physically detaches from the mob in 3D space.
  • Accurate Slot Origins: Helmets lift off heads, chestplates detach from chests, and weapons fly out of hands.
  • Cinematic Trajectory: The stolen item spins dynamically in 3D, tracing an illuminated arc toward your hands before smoothly absorbing into your inventory.

⏱️ Channeling & Combat Balance

  • Risk vs Reward: Stealing requires channeling for 2.5 seconds within close interaction range.
  • Tactical Movement: Your movement locks during the channel, forcing you to choose safe windows of opportunity.
  • Target Lock: The targeted mob is locked in place with visual feedback, preventing unfair mob flee mechanics during theft.

🎯 Immersive HUD & Target Indicators

  • Real-Time HUD Element: An interactive STEAL indicator appears when aiming at a mob holding valid gear, transitioning into an active STEALING… progress bar while channeling.
  • Entity Glowing Outline: Eligible mobs automatically highlight with an outline glow when targeted, ensuring clear target acquisition in dark caves and night combat.

🔊 Custom Soundscapes & Visual Effects

  • Multi-stage auditory feedback including mechanical snaps, ethereal conduit resonances, amethyst chimes, and heavy armor equip cues.
  • Swirling dual-helix enchantment particles, electric sparks, and a radiant burst upon completing a successful steal.

🎮 How to Use

  1. Approach a Mob: Locate any mob carrying armor, a weapon, a shield, or an off-hand item (Zombies, Skeletons, Piglins, etc.).
  2. Aim & Target: Aim your crosshair at the mob within melee reach. You will see an outline glow and a STEAL prompt on your screen.
  3. Right-Click & Hold: Press and hold your interaction button to start channeling.
  4. Claim Your Loot: Keep within reach until the channeling bar fills. The item will fly directly into your hands!
