About this project
What does CityShops add?
🏪 CityShops
Build real shops, businesses and a player-driven economy in Minecraft.
CityShops is a feature-rich shop and business mod for Minecraft Forge 1.20.1, designed especially for multiplayer, SMP, city and roleplay servers.
Create player-owned stores, buy and sell items, build companies with employees and branches, manage your business through the CityShops Business OS, and connect the entire economy to MineBank.
CityShops goes far beyond a simple chest shop.
Build supermarkets, convenience stores, warehouses, company stores, market stalls and complete shopping districts using functional shop systems and dedicated store furniture.
✨ What CityShops offers
🛒 Player Shops
Players can create their own shops and sell or purchase items from other players.
🏪 Modern Store Furniture
Create real-looking stores using dedicated CityShops furniture, including modern shop shelves, refrigerated displays and checkout counters.
💻 Business OS
Manage shops, companies, employees, branches, statistics and market information from the dedicated CityShops computer.
🏢 Companies & Employees
Create businesses, hire employees, manage permissions and operate multiple stores together.
💰 MineBank Economy Integration
Player accounts, business accounts and the state treasury are fully integrated through MineBank.
📊 Statistics & Transaction History
Track sales, purchases, turnover and recent transactions.
⭐ Shop & Company Ratings
Customers can rate shops and businesses after real transactions.
🌍 Public Market Overview
Compare real prices from active CityShops across the server.
📦 Inventory & Stock Management
Shops use real inventories and actual stored items.
⚙️ Hopper Automation
Automatically refill sell shops or remove purchased goods from buy shops.
🏛️ Admin Shops
Server operators can create unlimited-stock buy and sell shops connected to the MineBank state treasury.
🎁 Donation Systems
Create donation points for players, companies or the state treasury.
🎰 Player-Run Lotteries
Licensed businesses can operate their own lotteries using their MineBank business account.
🏬 Build real stores
CityShops is designed for servers that want shops to feel like actual businesses rather than simple command menus.
Use the available store furniture to create:
Supermarkets
Convenience stores
Shopping centers
Company stores
Warehouses
Food stores
Hardware stores
Player marketplaces
RP businesses
City shopping districts
Shop displays can show the configured item, transaction type, quantity and price directly at the store.
🛒 Player Shops
Players can create both:
SELL shops
The customer pays money and receives the configured item.
Revenue is transferred to the shop owner's account or the associated company account.
BUY shops
The shop purchases items from players.
Payment comes from the owner's account or company account, while purchased items are stored in the shop inventory.
CityShops checks:
available stock
available inventory space
account balance
configured item
transaction amount
shop permissions
This prevents invalid transactions and common shop exploits.
🏛️ Admin Shops
Server operators can create special Admin Shops.
Admin Shops can provide unlimited stock and interact directly with the MineBank state treasury.
Admin Sell Shop:
Player → pays money → State Treasury
Admin Buy Shop:
State Treasury → pays player
This allows server owners to create controlled economic sources and sinks.
🏢 Companies
CityShops includes a complete company system.
Players can create businesses and operate multiple shops together.
Companies support:
Company names
Business accounts
Multiple shops
Branches
Employees
Employee roles
Permissions
Shared shop management
Business statistics
Business licenses
Money earned by company shops can flow directly into the company's MineBank business account.
👥 Employees & Permissions
Business owners can hire other players.
Employees can receive permissions for specific business activities instead of automatically receiving full control.
This makes CityShops suitable for larger RP businesses with owners, managers and employees.
💻 CityShops Business OS
The dedicated Shop Computer opens the CityShops Business OS.
Instead of a normal Minecraft chest interface, players receive a dedicated business management system.
The Business OS includes access to:
Company information
Business balance
Personal shops
Company shops
Branches
Employees
Employee roles
Shop statistics
Company statistics
Business licenses
Market reports
Production analysis
Lists support scrolling for larger businesses.
📈 Market & Statistics
Every real transaction can contribute to the CityShops economy statistics.
CityShops tracks information such as:
Number of transactions
Items traded
Turnover
Shop history
Company performance
The latest transactions are retained for individual shops.
Offline shop owners can also receive information about activity that occurred while they were away.
The market overview uses real CityShops prices from the server.
It intentionally does not teleport players directly to shops, keeping exploration and city infrastructure relevant.
⭐ Ratings
Customers can rate shops or companies after completing a real transaction.
Ratings range from:
⭐ to ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Owners and company members cannot rate their own business.
This gives successful shops a reputation that is actually based on customer activity.
📦 Real Stock
Player shops do not generate items out of nowhere.
Sell shops require actual stock.
Buy shops require:
sufficient money
sufficient inventory space
Double chests are supported and treated as one shared shop inventory.
⚙️ Hopper Automation
CityShops supports Minecraft hopper automation.
Hoppers can:
automatically refill sell shops
automatically remove items from buy shops
Only the registered shop item counts as tradable stock.
Unrelated items accidentally inserted into the inventory are ignored by the shop system.
🎁 Donations
CityShops also supports donation systems without requiring a normal shop inventory.
Donations can be sent to:
Players
Companies
MineBank state treasury
Donation points can track the amount collected.
🎰 Player-Run Lotteries
Businesses can operate player-run lotteries after obtaining the required business license.
Lottery stakes are deposited into the company's MineBank business account and winnings are paid from that same account.
The business must therefore actually be able to finance possible winnings.
💤 Inactive Shops
Player shops can automatically become inactive when their owner has not joined the server for a configurable amount of time.
By default:
168 hours / 7 days
The shop inventory and stored items are not deleted.
Server owners can configure the inactivity period.
Admin Shops remain active.
💰 Required Dependency: MineBank
MineBank is required.
CityShops uses MineBank for:
Player accounts
Company accounts
Business transactions
State treasury
Admin Shops
Business payments

Adminshops bleiben aktiv.
💰 Pflichtabhängigkeit: MineBank
MineBank wird zwingend benötigt.
CityShops verwendet MineBank für:
Spielerkonten
Firmenkonten
Geschäftstransaktionen
Staatskasse
Adminshops
Firmenzahlungen
