What does MineFX - Enhanced Visuals add?

MineFX

A client-side Fabric mod that upgrades Minecraft's visual effects: branching lightning, 3D explosions, reworked totem revival, and combat hit effects.

  • Works in singleplayer and on any server — the server does not need the mod.
  • No external libraries. Fabric API and Java 21+ only.
  • Performance presets (Low / Medium / High / Ultra), per-effect toggles.
  • Built-in GUI: press O (rebindable).

Settings save to config/minefx.json.

Installation

Requires Fabric Loader 0.19.5+, Fabric API, Java 21+.

  1. Install Fabric Loader.
  2. Put Fabric API in mods/.
  3. Put the MineFX jar for your Minecraft version in mods/.

Supported versions: 1.21.2 – 1.21.11
