About this project
What does Mana Parry Reward add?
Mana Parry Reward
Land a genuine Epic Fight parry — or a successful dodge/evasion — and restore Iron's Spellbooks mana on the spot. On top of that, this mod adds 7 tiers of reusable Mana Potion and a Heal Rune that permanently grows how much mana you get back.
Why this exists
Iron's Spellbooks casters running Epic Fight combat have no in-combat way to recover mana except waiting on regen or drinking a vanilla potion mid-fight. This closes that gap: skillful defensive play (parrying, dodging) pays you back in mana, with a small but permanently-growable base amount, plus purpose-built mana flasks for when you need an instant top-up.
Features
Parry / dodge mana reward
- Triggers on a genuine parry — not a plain guard/block — from base Epic Fight (Parrying, Impact Guard), EFN's Parrying skill, or WoM's Perfect Bulwark active-parry finisher
- Also triggers on any successful Epic Fight dodge/evasion
- Reward = configurable base + a per-player growth bonus (grown via Heal Rune), capped by a configurable maximum
- A custom on-screen overlay notification shows Heal Rune progress — position configurable to any of 9 screen anchors
Heal Rune
- Consumable crafted from high-tier Iron's Spellbooks materials
- Each use permanently grows your parry/dodge mana reward by a configurable amount, up to the configured cap
- Refuses to be wasted once you're already at the cap
7 tiers of Mana Potion
- Reusable "flask" items (not single-use) — drinking one instantly restores a fixed amount of mana, from tier 1 (20 mana) up to tier 7 (80 mana)
- Vanilla-style per-tier cooldown and drink time
- Limited durability per tier instead of disappearing — a fully-worn potion just can't be used until refilled
- Tiers 1-4 refill at a crafting table with tiered Ink; tiers 5-7 refill at a brewing stand with Epic or Legendary Ink (custom, configurable brew time)
- Full crafting recipes for all 7 potions plus the Heal Rune
- JEI support for the brewing-stand refill recipes
Configurable (mana_parry_reward-common.toml)
- Base and max parry/dodge mana heal
- Heal Rune growth per use
- Mana Potion cooldown, grouped by tier (1-3 / 4-5 / 6-7)
- Brewing-stand refill time
- Overlay notification position
Commands
/manaparryreward check [players]— see current total parry mana heal/manaparryreward reset [players]— reset a player's Heal Rune growth bonus (op only)
