About this project
What does HAVEN - the Relic add?
HAVEN
Studio page (handbook and details): worldsfromblocks.com/projects/minecraft/haven/
One stone. Yours, until you break it.
HAVEN never leaves your inventory. Use it on solid ground with two empty cells above (the stone is 1.5 blocks tall), and a dark waystone grows there. That is your only return. The Relic stays in your hand.
This is not TRACE. TRACE marks a short path: up to eight blue beacons, bright, meant to be walked, each gone after three days. HAVEN raises one stone. It gives no light and no beam. It does not expire. You do not follow lamps home. You Return beside the stone, or you walk there in the dark.
It is not ANCHOR either. ANCHOR is a planted staff that catches you when you die. HAVEN does nothing on death. You teleport while you are still alive.
Walk the overworld, the Nether, or the End: you may raise a stone there, then you may only Return while you stand in that same world.
Use in the air (or on a block after the stone exists) opens the Relic. Left: where the stone sits, Return, Destroy stone (it asks once). Right: Infuse and your inventory. Another dimension: Return and Destroy stay dark until you go back.
Return does not snap. For three seconds the stone pulls while you still move. A hit, death, logout, or a dimension change cuts the pull; charge is untouched. Elytra and mounts refuse. If the landing beside the stone is blocked, nothing happens and nothing is spent.
Destroy stone from the Relic removes it in the world with no drop. Breaking the block by hand does the same. Then you may raise a new one. A second stone on the same Relic is refused. Pistons cannot shove it. It gives no light.
Raising and destroying cost nothing. Only Return drinks charge.
Creative skips the Return cost. Infuse still drinks materials.
Charge
Maximum 100. Return costs 4, plus extra every 250 blocks of distance, never more than 24.
Infuse on the right:
| Offering | Charge |
|---|---|
| Lapis lazuli | +1 |
| Amethyst shard | +2 |
| Emerald | +5 |
| Diamond | +12 |
What fits is taken. A diamond that cannot enter stays in the slot.
Where it drops
Rare. About 4% per matching chest:
- Ruined portals
- Jungle temples
- Pillager outposts
- Igloos
- Village cartographer houses
No recipe. Creative inventory still has it for testing.
Numbers (charge, costs, channel length) live in the server config.
What it is not
No crafting. No TRACE path of beacons. No three-day fade. No ANCHOR respawn. No second stone on the same Relic. No cross-dimension Return in this release. No shared library with other relics. HAVEN does not require TRACE.
