About this project
What does Compact Mob Health Bar add?
Compact Mob Health Bar
Compact Mob Health Bar is a lightweight Fabric mod that displays health bars above mobs and other living entities directly in the game world.
It makes it easier to check an entity's current health while exploring, fighting, or managing mobs. Health information is shown directly above each entity, so you can understand its condition at a glance without opening additional menus.
Compact Mob Health Bar also includes optional damage prediction. When enabled, the health bar can preview the estimated damage of your current attack before it lands.
Features
Compact Mob Health Bar displays clear health bars above living entities and shows their current health directly in the world.
Damage prediction supports both melee and ranged attacks and takes armor, enchantments, resistance, absorption, attack cooldown, critical hits, and other relevant combat modifiers into account.
The health bar can be customized with adjustable position, horizontal and vertical scale, text scale, background opacity, health segmentation, and maximum width.
Colors can also be configured for the health bar, low health state, border, background, and damage prediction.
For entities with higher maximum health, the bar width can automatically increase so their health remains easy to read without making normal mob health bars unnecessarily large.
Compact Mob Health Bar is designed as a lightweight client-side quality-of-life mod that provides useful combat information without changing core gameplay mechanics.
Damage Prediction
The damage prediction system estimates how much health your current attack will remove from the target before the attack lands.
It supports normal melee attacks as well as weapons such as bows, crossbows, tridents, and maces.
The prediction takes the target's armor and armor toughness into account, along with protection enchantments, resistance effects, absorption health, weapon enchantments, attack cooldown, critical hits, and other relevant vanilla combat mechanics.
Depending on the current attack, the display can also indicate states such as critical hits, projectile attacks, charging, blocked attacks, and other combat conditions.
Damage prediction can be disabled from the settings menu if you only want to use the health bar.
Configuration
Compact Mob Health Bar includes an in-game settings screen for adjusting the appearance and behavior of the health bars.
You can configure bar position, scale, text size, opacity, HP segmentation, width scaling for high-health entities, colors, and damage prediction.
