About this project

What does CrabBot add?

CrabBot

Something mechanical lies buried beneath the sand.

CrabBot introduces a giant robotic crab boss with terrain-aware leg movement, powerful attacks, and deployable reinforcements. Spot orange armor peeking through the beach? Prepare before getting closer.

Crab Bot

🎬 Watch It in Action

🏖️ A Sleeping Giant

Explore newly generated beaches to discover a Crab Burrow.

CrabBot waits partially buried in the sand. Approach it, and it will awaken, breaking through the surrounding sand before joining the fight.

These encounters are placed during world generation—not through recurring mob spawning.

Crab Bot Burrow

Playing in an existing world? Explore previously ungenerated areas to find burrows. Not every beach will contain one.

⚙️ Terrain-Aware Movement

CrabBot does more than loop a walking animation.

Its legs calculate footholds in real time, adjusting their placement and pose to the surrounding terrain. Watch this towering machine find its footing as it pursues you across uneven ground.

💥 A Fight That Keeps You Moving

Staying close is dangerous. Keeping your distance isn't safe either.

  • Charges & Claw Strikes — Closes the gap and pressures nearby targets.
  • Homing Missiles — Launches missiles that track their target.
  • Drill Shockwaves — Drives its spinning claws into the ground to unleash waves.
  • Heavy Slam — Puts its weight behind a devastating, wide-area strike.
  • Rocket Claw — Fires a claw and drags caught targets toward itself as it returns.
  • Baby Crab Deployment — Scatters egg-like robotic pods. Once they land, they unfold into Baby CrabBots and join the fight.

🦾 Claim Its Claw

Defeating CrabBot gives you a chance to obtain its Claw item.

Right-click to launch the claw and pull a mob toward you. The claw deals no damage—it's a tool for bringing your target within reach.
