About this project
What does FWP Core System add?
FWP Core System
FWP Core System is the shared foundation for the FWP Systems Suite. It provides common systems, APIs, configuration, and VALUE handling used by other FWP mods such as FWP Jurisdiction, FWP Economy, and future currency and financial modules.
The main feature in 1.0.0 is the VALUE system. VALUE is an abstract economic unit that other FWP mods can use without needing to know what specific currency or item represents it. I had no clue what all would be a good use so I made it Genaric for now.
If no account-based currency module is installed, Core uses configurable physical items as VALUE. By default:
1 Gold Nugget = 10 VALUE
Server admins can add or remove physical VALUE items and assign their worth through the server config.
Example:
minecraft:gold_nugget=10
minecraft:gold_ingot=90
minecraft:emerald=40
The payment system automatically searches the player's available VALUE items and prefers:
1. Exact payment
2. Smallest possible overpayment
3. Fewest physical items when multiple payments are equal
VALUE transactions can also be written to a server-readable log, including the player, amount, provider, result, and transaction reason.
Features
- Shared VALUE API for FWP mods
- Configurable physical VALUE items
- Gold Nugget fallback by default
- Multiple currency-item denominations
- Exact-payment calculation
- Smallest-overpayment handling
- Physical VALUE withdrawals
- Player-to-player VALUE transfers
- Transaction logging
- Transaction reason/context support
- Admin-friendly server configuration
- Designed for future account-based currency providers
- No normal physical VALUE minting through the Core provider
- Room for future expansion as Utility needs to be added, suggest if you have ideas, im listening
Commands
/value balance
Displays your current VALUE balance based on the active VALUE provider.
With the default physical provider, this calculates the combined VALUE of all configured VALUE items in your inventory.
/value take <amount>
Requires permission level 2.
Removes the requested amount of VALUE from the player running the command.
The system attempts to find an exact combination of physical VALUE items. If exact payment is impossible, it uses the smallest valid overpayment.
Example:
/value take 400
/value transfer <player> <amount>
Requires permission level 2.
Transfers existing VALUE from the player running the command to another online player.
With the physical VALUE provider, the actual configured VALUE items are moved between inventories rather than creating new items.
Example:
/value transfer PlayerName 500
Server Configuration
FWP Core generates a server configuration containing explanations for each setting.
Administrators can configure physical VALUE items using entries such as:
minecraft:gold_nugget=10
minecraft:gold_ingot=90
minecraft:emerald=40
Transaction logging can also be enabled or disabled through the config.
Intended Use
FWP Core System is primarily a dependency and shared framework for the wider FWP Systems Suite. It is designed to remain lightweight while providing the common systems needed by larger modules such as land ownership, banking, currencies, and financial systems.
