The project page does not say whether this file belongs on the client, dedicated server, or both.
The source does not explicitly classify this release as client-only or server-only.
What else does Tea Theory v1.0.0 need?
Tea Theory v1.0.0. Change the file and its required mods may change too.
Install Fabric API first. We found matching files for this game-version and loader setup.
We only count dependency files that match this setup. A file for another loader does not fill the gap.

About this project
What does Tea Theory add?
🍵 Tea Theory
Discover the art of tea-making in Minecraft!
Tea Theory adds a more immersive and realistic approach to brewing tea, introducing naturally generating Camellia Sinensis bushes, harvestable tea leaves, processing stages, and a variety of traditional teas — each with its own unique effects.
Rather than simply crafting a finished drink from a few ingredients, Tea Theory gives tea-making a multi-step process inspired by real-world tea production. Harvest, process, roast, roll, age, and prepare your leaves before finally brewing them into a drink.
🌿 How to Make Tea
Start by finding naturally generated Camellia Sinensis bushes and harvesting their leaves. From there, the leaves can be processed in different ways to create a variety of teas.
Tea production uses a combination of the custom Tea Boiler and familiar vanilla Minecraft stations, making the process feel integrated with the vanilla crafting system while adding additional depth.
🍃 Tea Varieties
- Sencha — Process Camellia Sinensis Leaves in the Tea Boiler.
- Fukamushicha Sencha — Process Sencha Leaves further in the boiler for a deeper level of processing.
- Hojicha — Roast Sencha Leaves using a blasting recipe.
- Matcha — Use a Stonecutter to grind Camellia Sinensis into Matcha Powder.
- Silver Needle — Cook the rare Leaf Bud over a campfire to produce Silver Needle Tea Leaves.
- Oolong & Black Tea — Roll Camellia Sinensis Leaves using a reusable Rolling Pin. The leaves gradually develop while they remain in your inventory, first becoming Oolong Tea Leaves and eventually Black Tea Leaves.
- Black Tea Milk — Combine Black Tea with a Milk Bucket to create a creamy tea drink.
🫖 A More Realistic Tea-Making Process
Tea Theory focuses on making tea feel like an actual process rather than a single crafting recipe.
Different teas are produced through different combinations of processing, heating, rolling, and gradual aging, reflecting how tea leaves are treated in real-world tea production. Some varieties require additional processing, while others rely on roasting or allowing the leaves to change over time.
This means that the tea you make depends on how you process the leaves, giving each variety its own identity and making tea production feel like a small craft within Minecraft.
✨ Tea Effects
Once prepared, each tea provides its own effects. Depending on the variety, teas can grant useful abilities such as:
- ⚡ Speed
- ⛏️ Haste
- 🔥 Fire Resistance
- 🪶 Slow Falling
- And more!

⚙️ How It Works
Tea Theory combines custom mechanics with familiar Minecraft systems:
- Tea Boiler — A custom processing block and recipe type for preparing tea leaves.
- Vanilla Stations — Uses campfires, blast furnaces/blasting recipes, stonecutters, and crafting alongside the custom boiler.
- Leaf Aging/Oxidisation — Rolled leaves gradually transform into different tea varieties while in your inventory.
- Bush Harvesting — Naturally generated Camellia Sinensis bushes provide the starting materials for tea production, found in forest biomes.
- Custom Effects — Finished teas provide their own unique effects.
- Informative Tooltips — Hold Shift to view additional tea information and effects.
Tea Theory is in very early development, more features are to come very soon, and bugs are to be expected but rare
