🐝 Bee Power (The Bee Generator Mod)

Turn your apiary into a power grid by leashing vanilla or modded bees to generate highly upgradeable Forge Energy!

Bee Power introduces a unique, eco-friendly, and highly polished Forge Energy (FE) generator that runs entirely on the kinetic energy of leashed bees. Whether you are running a small starter base or a massive industrial factory, your apiary is now your power grid.

⚙️ How It Works (The Vortex Centrifuge)

Setting up your first bee-powered grid is simple, and mesmerizing to watch:

1. Place the Bee Generator block down.

2. Place any Fence block directly on top of the generator.

3. Use a Lead to leash your bees to the fence post.

Once connected, the generator's custom physics engine takes over. It overrides the bees' natural AI, gently pulling them into a perfectly smooth, hovering, circular orbit around the fence post. A built-in magnetic tether guarantees they will never fly too far away and snap their leads, and anti-gravity math ensures they never scrape along the floor.

As they spin, custom high-resolution animated yellow lightning crackles around them, giving you real-time visual feedback that they are generating power!

🔋 Balanced Microchip Upgrades

Need more power? The generator features two locked, color-coded upgrade slots (complete with visual "ghost" silhouettes) that accept custom microchips. The math is carefully balanced to prevent extreme power creep while still deeply rewarding progression:

🟠 Pollen Processor (Generation Upgrade): Drop these into the left slot to multiply the amount of power your bees generate. Scales by 20% (1.2x) per chip. *(A full stack of 8 chips provides a massive ~4.3x power multiplier!)

🔵 Nectar Capacitor (Capacity Upgrade): Drop these into the right slot to expand the generator's internal battery. Each chip adds a flat +50,000 FE to the maximum limit. *(A full stack of 8 chips brings your maximum storage to a massive 450,000 FE!)

A dynamic, glowing, animated energy bar that scales perfectly with your Capacitor upgrades.

Live readouts for the number of Active Connected Bees.

Live readouts for your current Generating FE/t.

A real-time tracker for your Stored Volume / Max Capacity.

🤝 Universal Mod Compatibility

Already playing with other bee mods? No problem! Bee Power uses universal smart-matching logic. It doesn't just look for vanilla Minecraft bees—it scans the internal registry of leashed creatures. If a mob has the word "bee" anywhere in its registry name, the generator will harness it!

Fully compatible out-of-the-box with:

Productive Bees (Iron Bees, Diamond Bees, etc.)

Resourceful Bees

Any other mod that adds custom bees!

🛠️ Configuration & Balancing

Designed with modpack makers and server admins in mind. Navigate to your config folder and edit the Bee Power Configuration file to change the power_per_bee property. This dictates the exact baseline FE/t generated per individual bee before any microchip upgrades are applied.

Requires NeoForge 1.21.1. Drop a generator, leash up your swarm, and let the bees run your base!
