MacFix2 is a macOS performance mod inspired by retiNO, bringing Retina resolution scaling to modern Minecraft versions.

Retina displays render at significantly higher pixel densities, increasing the GPU workload. MacFix2 reduces this overhead by rendering Minecraft at a lower resolution, helping improve performance on macOS without requiring changes to your display settings.

Originally inspired by retiNO, MacFix2 independently adapts its core concept for newer Minecraft versions, with support for multiple mod loaders.

Compatibility

• Platform: macOS
• Display: Retina / High-DPI displays
• Loaders: NeoForge and Fabric (depending on Minecraft version)

On other platforms, the mod may load but does not provide meaningful functionality.

Renderer compatibility: If you're already using a renderer or mod with equivalent resolution-scaling functionality, MacFix2 may be unnecessary.
