Create: Grid Overclock
Overclock Schematicannons and Robo Bee Ports with Create: Power Grid electricity, up to 10× speed with configurable power costs.
Quick answer
Which Create: Grid Overclock release should I use?
Create: Grid Overclock grid-overclock-1.21.1-0.1.0-beta.4.jar targets 1.21.1 with NeoForge. The project page does not say whether this file belongs on the client, dedicated server, or both. No extra mods listed for this file.
Where it goes
Is Create: Grid Overclock required on the client, server, or both?
The project page does not say whether this file belongs on the client, dedicated server, or both.

About this project
What does Create: Grid Overclock add?
Create: Grid Overclock
Put your electricity to work. Create: Grid Overclock lets you power supported machines through Create: Power Grid’s Device Connectors, increasing their speed up to 10×.
Higher voltage means faster operation—and exponentially higher power consumption.
Supported blocks
Schematicannon — Create
Build schematics faster by launching blocks more frequently.
Draws power only while actively working.
Preserves normal material and gunpowder costs per block.
Keeps the original projectile behavior.
Robo Bee Port — Create: Mobile Packages
Launch faster delivery bees.
Draws power continuously while energized and loaded.
Each bee receives the port’s speed multiplier at launch.
Bees retain their launch speed throughout their trip, including after saving and loading.
Arrival estimates and delivery notifications account for the increased speed.
Mobile Packages is optional. The Schematicannon integration works without it.
Getting started
Attach a Power Grid Device Connector to a supported block.
Connect both terminals into a complete electrical circuit.
Supply power and increase the voltage to raise the overclock.
Wear Engineer’s Goggles to see the speed multiplier. Sneak to see power and voltage.
Small electrical sparks indicate that the block is overclocked.
Power requirements
Default power consumption grows exponentially:
| Speed | Schematicannon | Robo Bee Port |
|---|---|---|
| 2× | 2,048 W | 4,096 W |
| 5× | 30,720 W | 61,440 W |
| 10× | 1,046,528 W | 2,093,056 W |
Both blocks reach 2× at 128 V measured at the device. Full 10× requires approximately 2,893.5 V, drawing about 362 A for a Schematicannon or 723 A for a Robo Bee Port.
A single 160 A feed cannot reach 10× with the default settings. Wire resistance affects the voltage delivered to the machine. Supplying voltage above the speed cap continues to increase power consumption without increasing speed.
Configuration
Server settings are stored in your world’s serverconfig/grid_overclock-server.toml.
Each supported block has independent settings for:
Integration enabled or disabled
Power required at 2× speed
Exponential power growth
Voltage required at 2× speed
Maximum speed multiplier, up to 10×
Particles can also be disabled. An adapter API is provided for developers adding support for more blocks.
Requirements
This build targets:
Minecraft: 1.21.1
NeoForge: 21.1.249 or newer within the 21.1 series
Create: 6.0.10
Create: Power Grid: 0.6.0.1
Create: Mobile Packages: 0.7.7, optional
Install their normal dependencies as well. Install Grid Overclock on both the server and every client.
Other Create, Power Grid, and Mobile Packages versions are not currently supported by this build.
Notes
Bee flight speed is accelerated; turning and handling animations remain unchanged. Arrival times remain estimates. Schematicannon throughput also depends on available supplies, loaded targets, and server performance.
This is a beta release. Please include your mod versions and steps to reproduce when reporting an issue.
Modpack inclusion is welcome under the MIT license.
An independent addon for Create, Create: Power Grid, and Create: Mobile Packages. Thanks to their developers.
