About this project

What does Super Hostile Mode add?

Modify settings in the superhostile config. The default configuration is designed for mob battles. Helmets do not spawn with wool. Compared to the original Super Hostile, several new options have been added to the config for mob battle scenarios:

  • wave_interval_seconds: Customize the interval in seconds between spawn waves.
  • wave_spawn_count: Set a fixed number of mobs to spawn per wave. Range: 100–200 (defaults to random between 100 and 200).
  • despawn_seconds: Set how long Super Hostile mobs persist. Set to 0 to keep them permanently.
  • lightning_storm: Toggle lightning effects when Super Hostile activates. Disabling this noticeably reduces lag.
  • thunder_weather: Toggle whether the weather switches to thunderstorm when Super Hostile is enabled.
  • blinding: Toggle blindness effect applied to players when Super Hostile is active.
  • super_resistance: Toggle whether Super Hostile mobs lose their level 255 Resistance effect.
  • swarm_aggro: For mob arena fights only. Extends aggro range to 96 blocks. If one Super Hostile mob is attacked, all others target the attacker. Mobs will not target players in Creative or Spectator mode.
  • no_friendly_fire: For mob arena fights only. Disables friendly fire between Super Hostile entities. Charged creeper explosions do not leave potion clouds and will not knock back other Super Hostile mobs.
  • anti_replace_guard: Prevent Super Hostile spawns from overwriting re-skinned zombies and skeletons added by other mods.
  • max_alive_mobs: Set the maximum number of concurrently alive mobs to prevent server freezes.

New Commands

Common commands are listed below:

  • /superhostile enable / disable: Enable / disable the mode.
  • /superhostile despawntime <seconds> or forever: Customize mob persistence time (default: 10 seconds; forever = no automatic despawn).
  • /superhostile interval <seconds>: Set wave spawn interval (default: spawn a wave every 30 seconds).
  • /superhostile trigger: Immediately spawn one wave at your current position.
  • /superhostile status / clear: Check mode status / manually remove all Super Hostile mobs.
  • /superhostile count 200: Spawn a fixed 200 mobs.
