About this project

What does Techy Techy Backpacks add?

Techy Techy Backpacks

**Six tiers of backpacks and 29 modules that make them do the work for you.**

Carry up to 120 extra slots on your back, wear the backpack in your chest slot, or place it in the world and pipe items in and out. Modules turn a backpack into a portable crafting table, a furnace, a magnet, a trash can, a fluid tank or a jukebox, and they keep working while you play.

Every tier has its own look, from stitched leather to netherite, and every screen matches the backpack it belongs to.

Backpack tiers

Tier Slots Module slots
Leather 27 1
Copper 45 2
Iron 54 3
Gold 81 4
Diamond 108 5
Netherite 120 7

Upgrade a backpack in a crafting grid with the next tier's material. Everything inside, and every module, stays where it was.

Modules

Craft modules from a Blank Module and put them in the slots on the right of the backpack screen. Right-click a module in your hand to set its item list (allow or deny, by item or by mod).

Group Modules
Gathering **Collector** picks up what you walk over. **Attraction** pulls nearby items in. **Disposal** destroys junk. **Filter** decides what may go in.
Moving items **Replenish** refills your inventory. **Transfer** and **Retrieval** fill or empty a chest. **Tool Swap** picks the best tool for the block or mob.
Workstations **Workbench**, **Anvil**, **Smithing** and **Stonecutter** open from a button, themed to the backpack's tier, with JEI's "+" button on the crafting grid.
Cooking **Furnace**, **Smoker** and **Blast** cook with fuel from the backpack. **Compression** turns nuggets into ingots and ingots into blocks.
Looking after you **Nourishment** eats when you're hungry. **Remedy** drinks potions and milk when needed. **Reinforced** makes a dropped backpack safe from fire, explosions and the void.
Space **Capacity** doubles stack size, **Large Capacity** quadruples it, **Reduction** halves it for machines that want small stacks. **Nesting** lets backpacks fit inside, one level deep.
Fluid, power, XP **Tank** holds fluid and **Pump** fills it from the world. **Battery** stores energy and charges items. **Experience** banks your levels.
Fun and creative **Jukebox** plays the music discs inside. **Supply** (creative only) never runs out of listed items.
