About this project
What does UHL-HORROR Inside The Machine add?
UHL: Inside The Machine
*A Minecraft horror mod. Something is inside the machine, and it has been watching you since the first day.*
**NeoForge 1.21.1** · singleplayer and multiplayer (install the same jar on the server and every client) ·
needs **Simple Voice Chat** or **Plasmo Voice**
What it is
The world starts quiet. Vanilla music, sunny days. Then, slowly, it stops being yours.
- **57 anomalies**, each with its own way of hunting you, and **the One From The Fog**, the strongest of them all (five pages on four worlds and its own, an altar, a weapon that ends it forever): some only move when you do not look, some hunt by the
sound of your voice, some copy your friends, your skin, your words. - **A corruption** that spreads from the centre of the world, rots the land and finally deletes it into the void.
Stop it by finding the books, solving the ciphers and typing the password. - **Four boss cities**, a thousand blocks across, far out in the world.
- **Space.** Build up to the top of the sky, fly out with an elytra, or take a **rocket**: fuel it, get in, count
down, lift off. Everything you see in the sky can be reached: the Moon, the Pale World, the Sun (five minutes
before it kills you) and the Monster planet. - **A new world generator**: tall mountains, 180+ biomes, horror biomes, volcanoes, haunted places and structures
that only make sense at night. - **Stamina and fatigue.** Running costs breath. Not sleeping costs more: past 85% the world shows you things that
are not there, and you will not know which ones are real. - **Move like you are hunted**: climb ledges, roll under a blow, lie down and crawl through a gap, hide in the grass.
- **Paranoia.** A block you placed is not the block you placed. Your house has one more window. Far away, someone
exactly like you. And one morning, a book in your pocket that you never picked up. - **Dreams** that depend on how tired you went to bed, and some of them come true.
- **Libraries**: type a monster's identifier into the catalogue and learn how to end it.
- **A title screen that gets worse every time you launch the game**, up to a hundred launches and beyond.
A full guide is built into the title screen (the red button at the top).
Fair play
Nothing kills you in one hit. Jumpscares come with a reason (the first time a monster attacks you) and at most once
every fifteen minutes otherwise. Everything that changes your builds puts them back. A photosensitivity mode removes
strobing. Every scare system can be switched off in the config.
Safe
All horror happens **inside the game**. The mod never touches your computer: no files outside the game, no webcam,
no wallpaper, no system notifications, no moving windows or mouse. Voice snippets used by the Mimic stay in memory
and are never saved. The window close button always works.
