About this project

What does More Turtles Colors add?

More Vanilla Turtles adds seven sea turtle appearances to Minecraft, bringing more variety to your beaches and oceans while keeping the vanilla models and animations.

Meet the Leatherback, Green Turtle, Loggerhead, Hawksbill, Olive Ridley, Kemp’s Ridley, and Flatback, each with its own colors and shell patterns. Every variant includes matching baby textures.

Features

  • Seven naturally distributed turtle appearances.
  • Persistent colors that stay the same after reloading the world and growing up.
  • Color inheritance: matching parents produce matching offspring; different parents give each egg a 50/50 chance of inheriting either parent’s color.
  • Vanilla behavior, spawning, and drops.

Requirements

Minecraft 26.2 · Fabric Loader 0.19.5+ · Java 25

No separate Fabric API installation is required. For multiplayer breeding inheritance, install the mod on both the client and server.

Existing eggs and eggs collected with Silk Touch have no recorded ancestry and hatch with random colors.
