About this project
What does Empirelabs add?
Empire Labs turns Minecraft into a full crime-business and laboratory simulation. Start with almost nothing, set up a cheap chemistry table in a hidden shack, and grow step by step into an automated industrial operation with workers, dealers, front businesses and a vault full of cash.
All products, ingredients and processes in this mod are completely fictional and made up for gameplay.
LABORATORY
Grow Duskroot, mine Prism Salt and run multi-step production chains: mixing, heating, cooling, filtering, refining, drying and packaging. Lab equipment comes in four tiers, from an improvised chemistry table up to a Super Lab Core that only runs inside a finished clean room. Higher tiers are faster, fail less often and reach higher purity. Every batch has a purity from Poor to Perfect, and better quality sells for much more. Machines take Speed, Efficiency, Yield, Quality, Automation and Batch upgrades, so you can build fully automated factories.
PACKAGING AND PRICES
Pack your products into bags, sealed packages, premium cases, bulk packages or crates. Better packaging raises the sale value. Prices react to quality, packaging, market events and your reputation.
CUSTOMERS AND DEALERS
Buyers show up near you with their own budgets, tastes and quality standards, from ordinary customers to wealthy clients and big distributors. Villagers will buy a little on the side without breaking normal trading. Hire dealers and distributors to sell for you, even while you are away.
WORKERS
Hire drifters or recruit villagers with an Employment Contract. Employees work as lab workers, packagers, warehouse workers, transporters, security guards, cashiers, dealers or distributors. Give them pick-up and delivery spots with the Manager's Clipboard and they run your whole supply chain. Pay their wages or watch their loyalty drop.
MONEY
Physical cash from $1 bills to cash bricks, plus wallets, money bags, briefcases and duffel bags. Store it in vaults with transaction history and access settings, or in owner-locked safes and wall safes.
BUSINESSES AND LAUNDERING
Open a convenience store, laundromat, repair shop, car wash, restaurant or smoke shop. Each one slowly launders dirty cash into your clean account, earns legitimate income, has daily upkeep and can be upgraded five times.
PROGRESSION
Climb seven reputation ranks from Unknown to Empire. Complete delivery contracts from the Contract Board, react to random market events and earn 20 advancements. The Empire Ledger shows your whole operation at a glance.
SECURITY
Keypads, keycards, motion-detecting security cameras, alarms and a security monitor protect your empire. Use /trust to give friends access to your vaults, safes and keypads.
WORLD
Find abandoned labs, desert trailers, hidden warehouses and underground bunkers with loot. Structures use biome tags, so they also generate with biome and terrain mods.
BUILDING
Over 40 detailed 3D blocks, including lab machines, sinks, fume hoods, lockers, office furniture, pipes, ducts, warehouse racks and shipping containers. Every item has a 3D model, and the mod has its own animated textures and sound effects.
COMPATIBILITY
Requires Fabric API. Works on single-player and dedicated servers, with per-player money, reputation, workers and property.
JEI support for all machine recipes.
Higher Harvest and Smokeables are detected automatically: their items become sellable, feed extra lab recipes and work with your workers and dealers.
Other mods can add products, buyers and recipes through the Empire Labs API and data packs.
