Seraph

A horror mod where something is trying to help you, or pretending to: a dream you cannot wake from, a white rabbit that leads you astray, and a moon whose eye opens a little more every day.

About this project

What does Seraph add?

Find an abandoned church, read the book in its chest, and fall asleep. You wake up with a white rabbit beside a sign, a black screen that says RUN, and the crosses behind you turned upside down. From then on the world is not quite the same: signs appear on trees that only you can see, a figure stands crucified in the far fields, animals show you what they really are when you strike them, and every mistake you make shakes your very game window, not just your screen.

Is it God, an angel, the devil, or only your own head? You never find out. Every voice speaks under the same scrambled name, and they all contradict each other.

Features:

  • Two kinds of churches: one with a glowstone-and-water portal to heaven, one with a ladder to nowhere
  • Over a dozen events: Kaneki-style madness, dreams, Gabriel, verses, the white rabbit, and a fake system error from your own computer
  • The moon grows an eye and six wings over ten days
  • A fog dream where you must choose whether to follow the rabbit
  • A rewritten main menu
  • Multiplayer-ready: signs and rabbits are visible only to the player they were made for
  • Everything can be triggered with /horror mod events <event>
