About this project

What does Gravity Shift add?

Gravity Shift

Change a player's gravity to any of the six directions with a single command. Walk on walls, stand on the ceiling, fall sideways - your camera, controls and player model all turn with you.

Only players are affected. Mobs, dropped items and projectiles keep normal gravity.

Commands

  • /gravity set <direction> [players] - set gravity to down, up, north, south, east or west
  • /gravity get [player] - show a player's current gravity
  • /gravity reset [players] - back to normal (down)
  • /gamerule gravityshift:keep_gravity_on_death <true|false> - keep your gravity after dying (default true)

Commands need operator permission, or cheats enabled in singleplayer. The server config option allowSelfUse lets any player change their own gravity.

Good to know

  • Works in multiplayer: every player has their own gravity. Install the mod on the server and on every client.
  • Falling up past the top of the world kills you, just like the void.
  • Riding or sleeping pauses your gravity until you get off or wake up.

Requirements

Minecraft 26.3 · NeoForge 26.3.0.48-beta or newer
