About this project
What does Create: Silicon Works add?
Introduction
Silicon Works is an addon for Create: Power Grid. It adds surface-mount and semiconductor components, as well as some extra miscellaneous components that don't exactly fit that descriptor, as well as more power conditioning blocks/components in the future.
It is also a QoL addon to some extent, adding different styles of circuit board (though SW components only place on PCBs), silkscreens for said boards, and 4-layer trace routing, with some other minor changes and tweaks.
The addon aims not to disrupt the workings of the base mod at all, and everything is kept separate, such that if you prefer to do certain things the base PG way, the option is absolutely there.
It is advised to use multiticking when experimenting with things like the oscilloscope for smoother performance, because the base 50ms solver step of default PG is incredibly limiting.
Requirements
Minecraft 1.20.1/1.21.1
Forge or NeoForge
This is an early release. Models and electrical behavior will keep getting refined, and more nuanced recipes will be coming in the future too. This is my first real mod, so I'm still figuring some stuff out. Any help is appreciated, and if you find any bugs, please report them to me.
