About this project
What does The Engineer's Toolkit add?
The Engineer's Toolkit
Copy machine and pipe settings, save your favourite configurations, and reuse them across your builds.
The Configuration Gadget helps you set up supported machines, factories, pipes and conduits without repeating every setting by hand. Keep up to five named presets and switch between them in game.
Minecraft 1.21.1 · NeoForge
Current version: 1.2.1 Release. Now available to download. Version 1.1.0 remains listed as the earlier public alpha.
What it does
- Copies supported machine controls, side settings, filters and priorities.
- Saves five configurations with names you choose.
- Adapts supported pipe settings to the destination connection, including extraction on a different side.
- Installs supported upgrades, capacitors, filters and cards using items from your inventory. The 1.2.0 release can also take supported items from a linked AE2 ME network when you are in wireless range.
- Copies supported AE2 patterns using blank patterns from your inventory.
- Applies the settings it can when you are missing a required item.
- Returns replaced items to your inventory, dropping them at your feet if your inventory is full.
- Adds machine controls for 14 Industrial Foregoing machines, the Souls Soul Laser Base and selected MIFA addons.
- Uses the linked AE2 Wireless Access Point range, standard boosters and supported AEInfinityBooster cards. Connected Quantum Network Bridges can reach a local Wireless Access Point in another dimension.
- Includes a searchable in-game guide with a configurable key, plus short and detailed gadget tooltips in inventories and JEI.
The gadget copies configuration. Stored resources, energy, ownership and running crafting jobs stay with their original machines.

For mod authors
The Engineer's Toolkit provides a compatibility API and data definitions so other mods can add support for their own configurable blocks. Additional integrations can also be developed within the toolkit.
Developer download
Get the Developer Kit for Toolkit 1.1.0, also listed under Additional Files on the matching mod download.
It contains the integration guide, JSON definition format, API v1 source reference and HTML documentation, compatibility notes, and a working example with machine and pipe adapters. The independent example code is MIT-licensed so you can copy and adapt it for your own mod. The main Toolkit mod remains All Rights Reserved.
The API is already included in the normal mod JAR. Developers should extract the ZIP and start with README.md; players only need the mod JAR. Do not put the developer ZIP or API source attachment in your mods folder.
