Excavation — 3×3 Mining

Adds an enchanted book that turns your pickaxe into a 3×3 mining tool for Minecraft 1.20.1 Forge.

Excavation I: Mines stone, dirt, gravel, wood, ores, and other breakable blocks.
Excavation II: Mines the same area but skips ores, including modded ores recognized by their names or tags.
Hold Shift: Mine just one block, including ores with Excavation II.
Enchantment support: Fortune, Silk Touch, and Unbreaking apply to the additional blocks.
Works in every direction: Mine walls, floors, and ceilings, one block deep.

Getting and Upgrading

Get a book from librarian trades and apply it to a pickaxe using an anvil.

Pickaxe with Excavation I + another Excavation I book = Excavation II.

Bedrock and liquids are skipped. Normal tool durability and drop requirements still apply.
