About this project
What does Emberforge add?
Emberforge
Build your gear from parts – every material matters.
Emberforge is an original mod for Minecraft 1.20.1 (Forge), inspired by Tinkers' Construct 2. You melt metals in a multiblock smeltery, cast or craft individual parts, and assemble them into tools, weapons, armor, bows and magic staffs. Each part's material brings its own stats and its own trait, so two pickaxes are rarely the same.
Smeltery & casting
- Build a multiblock smeltery from seared bricks – the bigger you build it, the more it holds
- Melt ores and metals, fuel it with lava, pour through faucets into casting tables and basins
- Mix alloys in the dedicated alloy mixer, fed through channels
Tools, weapons and armor from parts
- 25 tool and weapon types: pickaxe, hammer, excavator, lumber axe, scythe, longsword, cleaver, warhammer, mace, spear, lance, poleaxe, flail, kusarigama, battle staff, trident, tomahawk and more
- Bows, longbows and crossbows with their own strings, fletching and craftable arrows
- Armor, shields and bucklers built from plates, cores and trims, with set bonuses
- About 30 materials from wood and flint up to netherite and the mod's own metals – each with stats and a unique trait
- Stencil table, part builder, part assembler, pattern cabinet and material crate form one connected workbench chain
- Tools never vanish: a broken tool can be repaired
Modifiers
Upgrade finished gear with modifiers – more speed, more damage, less durability loss and many special effects.
Magic
- Build a magic staff and slot in spell crystals
- Over 35 spells: attack, movement, control, support, summoning, utility – including your own pocket dimension
- Mana crystals in several tiers
World, mobs and bosses
- New ores, ruins and shrines to find
- New monsters and elite enemies
- Guardians and two big boss fights: the Primal Smith in his own arena and the Deep Warden
- Relics and accessories with passive effects, boss artifacts and trophies
In-game handbook
The whole mod is explained in an in-game handbook (given on first login, requires Patchouli). With JEI installed you also get recipe pages for melting, casting, alloys and part building.
Requirements
- Minecraft 1.20.1, Forge 47 or newer
- Patchouli (required)
- JEI (optional, recommended)
- Works in singleplayer and on dedicated servers. Balance values can be changed in
