About this project
What does Pointblank Attachment Descriptions add?
A small plugin for Vic's Point Blank that allows pack developers to add descriptions to attachments in their packs. Descriptions are added in a way where packs will still be compatible with regular Vic's Point Blank without this plugin - the descriptions will just not be visible without this plugin.
In order to add a description to your attachment, add an array of JSON objects called "description" to your attachment JSON. In this array, each object has 3 keys, "desc", "color", and "formatting". "desc" is a translation key for the description to add, "color" is an optional field that has an integer representation of a color code. Color is optional and will default to the VPB red if not added, and "formatting" is any option from "OBFUSCATED", "BOLD", "ITALIC", "STRIKETHROUGH", or "UNDERLINE", and will default to italic if not added or if an invalid option is given.
Here is a sample:
"description": [
{ "desc" : "label.pointblank.attachment.firerate_up_700"},
{ "desc" : "label.pointblank.attachment.covert_low_cal_civ", "color": 16755200, "formatting": "BOLD" }
]
With version 0.3, there is also a new "hideMessages" field to the "ammoText" JSON object in a custom weapon GUI JSON. Defaults to "false" for default behavior, but can be set to "true" to disable the current ammo number changing to "Preparing" or "Completing" when a gun state is in a prepare fire or complete fire animation.
Here is a sample:
{
"name": "e_gui_vanguard",
"texture": "textures/gui/gui_vanguard.png",
"ammoText": {
the rest of ammoText here
"hideMessages": true
},
the rest of your gui json here
}
