A 3D night sky in the style of BastiGHG and ZickZack V6

Huge chains hang from the sky at night. Clouds, fog and lightning replace the normal night sky. By day everything stays vanilla.

The chains are real 3D models at fixed positions in the world. You can fly up to them and through them, because they have no collision. New chains drop in from above when you get close. The sky also shows above the Nether roof.

The mod is client-side only. Nothing changes in the world or on the server, so it works on servers too.

Settings

With Mod Menu and YetAnotherConfigLib you get a settings screen with a live preview:

  • Main color and brightness of sky, clouds, chains, fog and lightning
  • Chains on/off, size, spacing, height and whether they drop in
  • Clouds, fog and lightning individually on/off, lightning frequency
  • Night only or around the clock

Without YetAnotherConfigLib there is a simpler screen without color picker and preview.

Requirements

Compatibility

The mod has not been tested with shader packs (Iris). Shader packs usually replace the sky themselves, so this mod's sky will probably not be visible.

If you find bugs or have questions, feel free to open a ticket on the linked Discord server.

This mod is not approved by or associated with BastiGHG, Lunar Client or ZickZack Cosmetics. It is an independent recreation.
