About this project

What does ElytraX PackMaker add?

ElytraX PackMaker

Build custom Minecraft resource packs from inside the game — no image editor, no zipping, no restarting.

ElytraX PackMaker is a lightweight, client-side Fabric mod that turns resource pack creation into a point-and-click menu. Pick from hundreds of bundled item textures, name them after the vanilla items they should replace, and export a ready-to-use .zip resource pack — all without leaving your world.

✨ Features

In-game texture picker — Browse a built-in library of custom artwork sorted into Swords, Tools, Food, Blocks, Totems, Fireworks, Inventory backgrounds, and more. Select any number of images and preview them before you commit.
Smart item naming — Type an item name and get live, icon-matched suggestions pulled straight from Minecraft's item registry, so you don't need to memorize exact item IDs.
Custom Inventory screens — Swap your Inventory GUI background with one click; no manual file placement required.
One-click export — Generates a complete resource pack (pack.mcmeta, license file, and all selected textures) and drops it straight into your resourcepacks folder — then enables it automatically.
Kill Effects — Trigger a customizable particle burst when you finish off an enemy. Choose from dozens of visual styles, toggle the totem/TNT flourishes and sound on or off, adjust duration and particle density, and preview any style instantly before saving.
License picker — Attach All Rights Reserved, CC0, CC BY 4.0, or MIT to your exported pack.
Performance-conscious — Textures are automatically capped to a sensible resolution on export, so your generated packs stay light on VRAM and load quickly.
Fully configurable UI — Scale the interface (Full / Compact / Small) to fit your setup, and adjust particle density to protect your FPS on lower-end machines.

🎮 How to Use

Press Right Ctrl in-game to open the PackMaker.
Browse categories and click any artwork to select it (or use ALL / NONE to bulk-select).
Hit Create Pack, type in a name for each selected texture (or pick a suggestion from the list).
Fill in your pack's name, description, version, and license.
Click Create Resourcepack — it's saved and activated immediately.

Open Kill Effect or Settings from the same menu to fine-tune particle effects, GUI scale, and pack format at any time.

🧩 Supported Versions

Minecraft Loader
1.20.1 Fabric
1.21 Fabric
1.21.4 Fabric

Requires Fabric Loader and Fabric API. Client-side only — safe to use on any server, and doesn't need to be installed server-side.

❓ Notes

ElytraX PackMaker doesn't modify game files directly — everything it generates is a standard resource pack you can inspect, share, or delete like any other.
Kill Effects are purely visual/audio and are entirely client-side; they don't affect combat, hitboxes, or other players.
