About this project
What does [SBW] Realistic Vehicles add?
The mod strips the arcade feel out of every vehicle and makes you treat it like a real machine. Anything from a tank to a helicopter now needs its ignition: hold the starter key for three seconds, hear the cranking give way to a diesel idle, and kill the engine with a dying shudder when you climb out, or it will keep rumbling and smoking for everyone to hear.
A stalled vehicle is fully dead: no driving, no shooting, no turret traverse, helicopter rotors frozen still, and shell and bullet tracers removed from sight entirely. Heavy armor feels heavy: hulls yaw slowly, turrets drag behind your aim with believable laziness, and every shot shakes the cameras of the whole crew. Boarding is no longer instant either bailing out above ten kilometers per hour costs four hearts, and climbing back in takes three and a half seconds of holding the key under a ticking timer. As a bonus, all stock durability bars and cluttered sights are gone, while real speed is honestly reflected in your field of view.
Superb Warfare version higher than 0.8.7 is required.
