About this project
What does Olympian Echoes add?
OLYMPIAN ECHOES
A Greek Mythology Adventure Mod for Minecraft
Olympian Echoes is a Greek mythology-inspired adventure mod for Minecraft, centered around ancient deities, divine oracles, faith trials, and legendary artifacts.
The mod introduces narrative-driven progression, knowledge-based exploration, character development, mythological bosses, and custom structures.
Mod Loader: Minecraft Forge 47.4.18 or later
Required Dependencies:
GFBS: glTF — Required for custom 3D model support.
Photon — Required for the mod's visual effects.
LDLib — Requried for Photon.
Highly Recommended:
Better Combat — Strongly recommended for the intended combat experience, particularly when using the mod's custom weapons and engaging in boss encounters.
Oracles & the Castalian Spring
Upon entering a new world, players receive an ancient oracle fragment known as The Eyes of the Gods.
After discovering Amethyst Shards through exploration, players can receive guidance on constructing the Castalian Spring, a sacred structure that gradually reveals the mod's underlying mechanics and mythology.
The Castalian Spring provides two primary interactions:
Amethyst Shards — Knowledge Revelations: Unlock information about oracle interpretation, mythological lore, divine trials, and other gameplay mechanics. Revelations are subject to progression requirements and in-game time restrictions.
Emeralds — Adventure Records: Review your current progression, including interpreted oracles, completed faith trials, artifact acquisition, and known objectives.
To activate the faith trial system, players must first interpret The Eyes of the Gods at the Oracle Offering Altar.
Further knowledge, oracle fragments, and divine trials gradually reveal additional paths of progression.
Four Divine Paths & Legendary Artifacts
Olympian Echoes features four divine progression paths associated with Artemis, Achilles, Ares, and Hebe.
Each deity offers three distinct trials, for a total of twelve faith trials.
Completing all three trials associated with a deity allows players to offer the corresponding faith token and obtain a lesser version of that deity's artifact.
Certain artifacts can subsequently be enhanced through materials obtained from mythological bosses, dedicated forging facilities, and divine awakening.
The four primary artifact lines are:
Bow of Artemis: Ranged combat, precision, and hunting abilities.
Spear of Achilles: Armor penetration and specialized melee combat.
Armguard of Ares: Close-range combat, defensive suppression, and offensive pressure.
Cup of Hebe: Status effects, recovery, and survival abilities.
Each artifact possesses its own mechanics rather than relying solely on high base damage or conventional equipment attributes.
Interpreting the four deities' associated oracles also grants permanent attribute bonuses.
Mythological Bosses & Sacred Structures
The mod currently includes mythological encounters such as the Remnant of Kyknos and the Remnant of Orion.
These bosses feature custom combat behaviors, unique abilities, dedicated models, boss interfaces, sound effects, and exclusive rewards.
Players can also discover deity-themed temples, divine statues, oracle offering structures, and forging facilities.
Certain statues provide area-based effects, granting nearby players beneficial abilities or influencing their surroundings.
Development Status
Olympian Echoes is currently in Alpha development.
The available content includes the oracle and knowledge systems, four divine trial paths, artifacts and their progression mechanics, selected mythological boss encounters, and associated structures.
Additional content and improvements remain under development.
