About this project
What does Fudu Flora add?
Fudu Flora

Bring your gardens, streets, parks, and courtyards to life with ornamental trees, shrubs, and flowers inspired by real plants.
Fudu Flora adds species-specific tree shapes, decorative foliage, compact shrubs, and flowers designed to fit Minecraft’s visual style.
Trees
Choose from 11 sapling varieties:
London Plane
Ginkgo
Japanese Pagoda Tree
Golden Rain Tree
Camphor
Zelkova
White Poplar
Flamboyant
Golden Osmanthus
Silver Osmanthus
Banyan

Each species grows with its own branching pattern and crown shape. Flamboyant features a broad umbrella-shaped crown with red-orange flowering foliage, while Banyan develops a large spreading canopy.
Golden and Silver Osmanthus have separate saplings and flowering leaves. Both share the same logs, planks, and non-flowering leaves.
Shrubs
Six ornamental shrubs are included:
Chinese Fringe Flower
Golden Dewdrop
Japanese Pittosporum
Fagraea
Glossy Privet
Weeping Fig

Shrubs use a compact, azalea-style model, including their inventory appearance. Apply bone meal once to make a shrub flower, then apply it again to grow it into its corresponding small tree.
Flowers
Decorate smaller spaces with:
Carnation
Moth Orchid
Peace Lily
Cyclamen
Flowers use lightweight crossed-plane models with transparent pixel textures and proportions suited to Minecraft gardens.
Foliage and Aerial Roots
Tree foliage uses small leaf details, varied shading, transparent gaps, and subtle twig patterns. Leaf blocks have no extra interior planes.
Banyan aerial roots hang downward like vines. Their top segment must attach to a log, and additional segments can extend beneath an anchored root chain. Removing the supporting log causes unsupported roots to detach.
Roots can extend naturally or with bone meal, up to 16 segments, and stop at existing blocks.
Growth Around Buildings
Trees continue growing around obstacles while preserving existing blocks along their growth paths. This makes planting easier near paths, walls, and garden structures.
Existing trees are not automatically reshaped when updating the mod.
Survival and Creative Use
The mod includes saplings, plant drops, wood recipes, and a dedicated creative inventory tab. Version 0.1.2 contains 66 registered blocks and items.
Plants do not generate naturally in the world, so installing the mod will not add new vegetation to existing terrain.
Requirements
Minecraft 1.20.1
Forge 47.3.0
Java 17
Install the mod on both the client and server for multiplayer.
An optional client-side compatibility patch is available for Complementary Unbound r5.7.1 with Euphoria Patches 1.8.5 to enable shader waving for the mod’s foliage and aerial roots.
Flowering foliage is decorative; seasonal flowering and fragrance simulation are not included.
