About this project
What does ForgeWorks Elemental Blades (add on) add?
ForgeWorks Elemental Blades is an add‑on for ForgeWorks that turns your Crying Alloy Sword into one of ten elemental weapons. Each blade keeps everything that makes the Crying sword great (40,000 durability, fire‑proof, near‑unbreakable) and adds +3 elemental damage, a faster swing, an on‑hit power and, for most blades, a right‑click ability. The blades drip with their element’s colour in an animated texture.
How to make one
Craft an Elemental Core: four Crying Alloy Ingots in the corners, the element’s ingredient in the centre, and its edge material around it. Then place your Crying Alloy Sword and the core anywhere in a crafting grid. Your enchantments, durability and custom name carry over to the new blade, so you never lose a sword you’ve invested in.
The ten blades
- Gale Blade (Wind): hits launch enemies back and into the air. Right‑click releases a gust that shoves everything in front of you.
- Ember Blade (Fire): sets targets on fire and burns non‑fire‑immune mobs for extra damage. Right‑click throws a fireball.
- Rime Blade (Frost): slows and freezes targets. Right‑click unleashes a frost nova that freezes everything around you.
- Storm Blade (Lightning): every third hit calls down a lightning strike.
- Dawn Blade (Radiant): deals heavy bonus damage to undead and makes them glow. Right‑click casts a sunburst that burns nearby undead.
- Wither Blade (Void): withers your target and heals you with every hit.
- Fang Blade (Venom): poisons living mobs (undead are immune to poison).
- Riptide Blade (Tide): drags enemies toward you and hits harder in rain or water.
- Quake Blade (Earth): slow, crushing hits that stop enemies in their tracks. Right‑click slams the ground to damage and launch everything around you.
- Rift Blade (Ender): right‑click teleports you behind the mob you’re looking at.
Abilities have short cooldowns and cost 2 durability per use.
Requirements
Requires ForgeWorks (Crying Obsidian Armor & Tools) 1.0.0 or newer. Get ForgeWorks here. Install on both server and client. Available for Minecraft 26.3 (NeoForge, Forge and Fabric), 1.21.1 (NeoForge, Forge and Fabric) and 1.20.1 (Forge). The Fabric versions also need Fabric API and the Fabric version of ForgeWorks. On 1.20.1, the Gale Core uses a Phantom Membrane and the Quake Core uses an Iron Block, since breeze rods and heavy cores don’t exist in that version.
