About this project

What does Realm Council add?

Realm Council

Turn an election into a roleplay event. Realm Council adds fantasy elections to Minecraft, with physical ballot boxes, candidate campaigns, an oath ceremony and a council book for following the result.

What the mod adds

  • Ballot Box, Notice Board and Oath Desk: three custom blocks with crafting recipes.
  • Candidate forms: player preview, heraldic symbols, mottos and campaign programmes.
  • Secret ballots: one final vote per Minecraft UUID per round, including a blank-ballot option. Only turnout is public while voting is open.
  • Runoff rounds: tied candidates enter a fresh round; turnout and round limits decide whether an election can produce a winner.
  • Custom offices and terms: choose the office title, eligibility, turnout, candidate limits and all election durations.
  • Government and history: the winner takes the oath and may publish public decisions during the term. Everyone can read the council book.
  • In-game administration: operators press O → Manage to create elections, receive the blocks, search electors, manage known offline players, advance phases, count votes, cancel elections and end terms. Closing actions use confirmations.
  • Persistent world data: election deadlines use real time and overdue phases advance when the server starts again.
  • English and Portuguese interfaces.

Getting started

Install the mod on the server and on every player's client. As an operator, press O, open Manage, receive the blocks and create an election. Place the notice board, ballot box and oath desk where the event will take place.

Players open the council book to submit and read candidacies, visit a ballot box to vote, and use the oath desk to take office. The elected office supports a roleplay title and public decisions; operator permissions control election administration.

There is one active global election at a time. The electoral roll includes known players who meet the chosen play-time requirement; operators can change it during nominations. Voting requires a nearby ballot box. Counts are revealed when the round closes. Ballots remain accessible to the owner of the world's data files.

Optional Crónicas RP integration

Realm Council works independently. With Crónicas RP 0.4.0+ installed, candidacies use the character's RP name, race and age. Without a created RP character, they use the Minecraft identity. The integration reads identity information and leaves character balances and profiles unchanged.

Requirements

  • Minecraft Java 1.21.1
  • NeoForge 21.1.256+, from the 21.1 branch
  • Java 21
  • Install the same mod version on the server and all clients.

Version 0.2.0 accepts existing election data from 0.1.0. Updating to 0.2.0 requires replacing the previous JAR on both server and clients.

Conselho do Reino

Coloca o quadro, a urna e a mesa no local do evento.
