About this project
What does Spectral Thread add?
🌌 Spectral Thread: Diegetic Pathfinding & Stasis Recovery
Tired of losing your valuable gear and XP to 5-minute despawn timers or aggressive server ClearLag sweeps?
Spectral Thread completely re-engineers Minecraft death recovery with an immersive, lore-friendly, and 100% lag-proof system.
✨ Key Features
🛡️ 1. 100% ClearLag & Ground Sweeper Immunity
* Unlike vanilla drops or standard grave mods, your items NEVER scatter onto the ground as ItemEntity.
* All inventory items and XP are safely sealed inside an indestructible Stasis Core (BlockEntity) anchored at your death site.
* Completely immune to /kill @e[type=item], ClearLag sweeps, item purgers, lava burning, and creeper/TNT explosions!
🧭 2. Diegetic HUD & Action Bar Elevation Compass
* Displays a real-time HUD right above your hotbar:✦ Spectral Thread: 1,420m North-East [↗] [▼ 85m below] to Stasis Core
* 8-Way Cardinal Compass: Visual arrows ([⬆], [↗], [➡], [↘], [⬇], [↙], [⬅], [↖]) guide your exact heading across biomes.
* **Elevation Indicator:** Instantly tells you if items are deep underground in a cave ([▼ below]) or up on a mountain ([▲ above]).
🌟 3. The Sky Pillar (Spectral Beacon)
* When you arrive within 192 blocks of your core, a majestic ethereal pillar of white stars and soul fire shoots straight up from the ground into the clouds!
* If you died in a deep cavern, the pillar projects from the surface terrain directly above your core so you can spot the location from mountain ridges or tree canopies.
👣 4. Soul Ribbon Trail (Cave Pathfinding)
* The mod passively records your exploration breadcrumbs.
* Near your death site, a glowing ethereal ribbon of soul flames floats above the ground, retracing the exact steps you took before dying through confusing cave branches and ravines.
🔮 5. Multi-Death Safety & Soul Consolidation
* Died multiple times trying to retrieve your items? No problem!
* The mod tracks all your cores. If you exceed the maximum core limit (default: 3), the oldest core's items and XP automatically merge into your newest core.
* Zero items or XP are ever lost!
💤 6. Dormant State (Zero-Lag Ambient Sleep)
* When you are >64 blocks away or offline, Stasis Cores enter complete dormancy (0 particles, 0 server ticks).
* Keeps server CPU and bandwidth footprint at 99.9% efficiency even in massive multiplayer worlds.
⚡ 7. Instant Proximity Recovery
* Simply step within 3 blocks of your Stasis Core:
- All items are directly injected back into your inventory.
- Armor automatically equips to your armor slots.
- Your XP is restored.
- Resonant celestial chimes ring out!
⚙️ Server Configuration (config/spectral_thread.properties)
Every single mechanic is fully customizable:
* dormantDistance (default: 64.0) - Wake-up distance for core particles.
* skyPillarEnabled (default: true) - Toggles the vertical sky beacon.
* skyPillarDistance (default: 192.0) - Distance where the sky pillar becomes visible.
* proximityCollectionRadius (default: 3.0) - Auto-retrieval radius.
* maxActiveCoresPerPlayer (default: 3) - Maximum cores before auto-consolidation.
* autoConsolidateExcessCores (default: true) - Auto-merges oldest death items into newest core.
* xpPreserveRatio (default: 0.85) - Percentage of XP preserved (85%).
* autoEquipArmor (default: true) - Automatically puts armor back on upon recovery.
* respectKeepInventory (default: true) - Preserves standard behavior if keepInventory gamerule is on.
