About this project
What does TaCZ Bullet Whiz add?
tacz_bullet_whiz is an addon for TaCZ (Timeless and Classics Zero) that adds whizzing sounds when bullets pass close to you, bringing extra immersion and tension to firefights.
Sounds move along the bullet’s direction of travel, helping you hear which side a shot passed on—especially with headphones. Closer bullets sound louder, while multiple sound samples and randomized pitch and playback speed add variety to repeated shots.
Bullet damage also affects the sound. More powerful rounds produce louder, higher-pitched flybys with a wider audible range. With default settings, this range reaches up to 8 blocks, with volume fading smoothly toward its edge.
During a near pass, direct hits suppress the flyby sound, and your own shots do not trigger it for you. Obstruction checks and playback limits help prevent sounds through solid cover and excessive overlap during sustained fire.
Volume, pitch, detection range, and other options can be adjusted through configuration files.
Supports Minecraft Forge 1.20.1 and 1.19.2. Requires the matching TaCZ version. For multiplayer, install the addon on both the server and all participating clients.
