Thaumaturge Additions
An addon mod for Thaumaturge.
Quick answer
Which Thaumaturge Additions release should I use?
Thaumaturge Additions 1.1.0-NeoForge-26.1.2 targets 26.1.2 with NeoForge. The project page does not say whether this file belongs on the client, dedicated server, or both. All 3 required mods have matching files.
Where it goes
Is Thaumaturge Additions required on the client, server, or both?
The project page does not say whether this file belongs on the client, dedicated server, or both.
The source does not explicitly classify this release as client-only or server-only.
What else does Thaumaturge Additions 1.1.0-NeoForge-26.1.2 need?
1.1.0-NeoForge-26.1.2. Change the file and its required mods may change too.
Install Thaumaturge, Curios API, Lithostitched first. We found matching files for this game-version and loader setup. 5 come through another mod in the chain.
5 extra mods were pulled in by other dependencies. Indented rows show who needs each one. We only count dependency files that match this setup. A file for another loader does not fill the gap.

About this project
What does Thaumaturge Additions add?
An addon mod for Thaumaturge.
Adds the self-repairing Void Traveller's Boots, the Rainbow Scribing Tools, the Void Brain in a Jar, the Everburning Urn, the Focus Effect: Salis Mundus, and — the centerpiece of this mod — Arcane Workbench upgrades for Traveler's Backpack / Sophisticated Backpacks, letting you craft arcane recipes anywhere using the vis of the chunk you are standing in.
Features
Arcane Workbench Upgrades (Traveler's Backpack / Sophisticated Backpacks)
Each of the two backpack mods gets a matching pair of upgrades, with an identical workflow:
- Arcane Workbench Upgrade — installs a full arcane workbench inside your backpack. A 3x3 crafting grid, six primal crystal slots (Aer / Ignis / Aqua / Terra / Ordo / Perditio) and a wand slot, laid out roughly like the vanilla Arcane Workbench. It draws on the vis of the chunk you are currently in.
- Arcane Charger Upgrade — widens the vis drain from the single chunk underfoot to the surrounding 3x3 chunks, behaving just like the vanilla Arcane Workbench Charger. It has an on/off switch, so you can turn it off whenever you want to leave your local aura alone.
Convenience details:
- Fully supports the wand and six primal crystals required by arcane recipes.
- Crafting table recipes work too — if no arcane recipe matches, the grid falls back to ordinary crafting table recipes, costing no vis, crystals or wand.
- Auto-refill toggle — after crafting, consumed grid slots are automatically restocked from your backpack or inventory.
- Shift-click destination toggle — choose whether shift-clicking the result sends it into the backpack storage or your inventory.
- Live readout of the vis available to the workbench.
- Full JEI integration: both backpack upgrades are registered as crafting stations, so you can jump straight from a JEI recipe into your backpack and craft there.
Requires Traveler's Backpack and/or Sophisticated Backpacks. Each backpack mod is an independent optional dependency — install either one, or both.
Void Traveller's Boots
An upgraded take on Traveler's Boots, built on Thaumaturge's void gear:
- Self-repairing — recharges itself from stored vis, so it will never truly break.
- +6 blocks of safe-fall distance.
- Movement speed boost (on foot and while wading through water), plus increased step height and jump strength.
- 5% vis discount on everything you cast.
- Dyeable, just like ordinary traveller's boots.
Rainbow Scribing Tools
No matter what dye you put in this little bottle, what comes out is always black. A textbook case of "gorgeous black".
Void Brain in a Jar
The void version of a Brain in a Jar — in other words, once it is full, the excess is simply cleared away.
Everburning Urn
A sibling of the Everfull Urn, except it produces lava instead of water. You can pipe lava in from just about any mod. Do keep in mind that it is far slower than its water counterpart, and it is not free — every bucket of lava costs roughly 25 vis. For safety's sake, automatic filling of nearby containers is disabled; molten lava should not splash everywhere on its own.
Focus Effect: Salis Mundus
Salis Mundus in the shape of a proper focus. Cast it at a block that has a transmutation recipe and the block is converted — and you do not consume the Salis Mundus itself, which makes large-scale transmutation projects far less painful on your reserves.
