About this project
What does Maces+ add?
🔨 Maces+
This mod gives the mace much more consistency in a survival context by giving it slight buffs as well as introducing new enchantments that can recontextualize the mace's purpose.
⬆️ Mace Changes
- Increased the weight of heavy cores from ominous vaults from 1 → 2
With the new enchantment options that are available, heavy cores have gotten an increase in their drop chances to make them not as frustrating to obtain.
- Increased mace base damage from 6 → 10
- Increased mace attack speed from 0.6 → 1
While some people may see this as an unnecessary change, the power floor for the mace is far too low for it to be a weapon that can consistenly be used in PvE scenarios.
- Maces are now compatible with the looting enchantment.
- Other players are no longer affected by the knockback caused by the mace's smash attack.
- This can be disabled through the
mace_player_knockbackgamerule.

📚 New Enchantments
Collision

- Entities knocked back by the mace's smash attack will take
(2 + (0.15) * (enchant_level) * (damage_dealt). - Treasure enchantment that can only be obtained through ominous vaults.
- Incompatible with Wind Burst and Blustering.
- Goes up to level 3.
This enchant was added to give the mace opportunities to deal AOE damage rather than being used for pure single target damage.
Blustering

- Right-clicking (use bind) while holding a blustering mace will launch a wind charge. (3 second cooldown)
- Each level above 1 will reduce cooldown by 1.25 seconds.
- Launching a wind charge will consume 1 durability.
- Killing a mob will refresh blustering's cooldown.
- Treasure enchantment that can only be obtained through ominous vaults.
- Incompatible with Wind Burst and Collision.
- Goes up to level 3.
This enchant was added to give the mace a utility option for those who don't want to use the mace for combat. At level 3, blustering has the same cooldown as normal wind charges which essentially turns the mace into an infinite stack of wind charges.
⚙️ Modpack Usage
