About this project
What does Heat Distortion (performant) add?
Heat Distortion is a client-side mod adding heat distortion to several biomes, blocks, and the nether at virtually no performance cost
Features:
- Rising heat above exposed lava, fire, soul fire, lit campfires, and magma blocks
- Heat above running furnaces, blast furnaces, and smokers. Idle machines and extinguished campfires emit no shimmer
- Daytime heat haze in deserts, badlands (mesa), and savannas, including their variants
- Biome haze smoothly fades in during dawn and out during dusk, dissapearing completely at night
- During the day, biome haze rolls smoothly between completely calm and a maximum effect value
- The nether has continuous caverns haze in every biome
- Biome transitions blend gradually. In the Overworld, roofs suppress ambient haze and rain reduces it.
