About this project

What does Undead Party add?

Currently adds five new zombies: Charger, Spitter, Boomer, Smoker, and Tank. All with unique abilities inspired from the Left 4 Dead 2 game. Almost everything is configurable, giving modpack creators more freedom.

MOD REQUIRES GECKOLIB TO RUN !

  1. Charger:
Charges in a straight line at a target. Don't get caught, unless you'd be grabbed by the Charger. The grabbed target receives heavy damage if the Charger crashes to a wall or obstacle otherwise the target is thrown off by the Charger (still deals some damage). The Charger's melee attack is also quite dangerous!

For balance reasons, the Charger doesn't pin you down like they do in Left 4 Dead 2. Maybe when I add the Hunter, Witch(?), and Jockey do I add a config option for the Charger to have a pinning attack.

  1. Spitter
Spits dangerous acid projectiles at a target. These acid projectiles form puddles when they hit or land (radius of the puddle is config-able!). They also leave acid puddles on death.

  2. Boomer
The most fragile zombie of the three. It is capable of vomitting at a target, targets hit are given the Bile potion effect. The Bile potion effect summons zombies that target the target. Biled targets also attract nearby zombies to it. The Boomer also gives the Bile effect to targets caught in its death explosion (deals 0 damage by default, config-able) and to targets hit by his melee attack.

  3. Smoker
Careful of where you're standing, the Smoker has a long tongue capable of dragging their targets to their
demise. If you see your mate being dragged by the Smoker's tongue, be quick to cut his tongue down!

  4. Tank
Rumors say the tank was a bodybuilder before he was infected. Anyways, don't try to fight the Tank close-range. His punch deals VERY HEAVY damage, so logic says you should fight him from long-ranges. Even
then, you need to beware of his devastating rock throw/lobs, he is capable of ripping the ground and throw
    rocks at his targets.

The Tank is also capable of climbing onto heights, so don't even think of cheesing him! If the Tank also somehow lands in a situation where you can land free hits on him but he can't land any hits on you, the Tank will prefer to retreat.

  • @jerremy181 on CurseForge. The zombies were all modelled and textured by him!**

Plans:

  • Port to NeoForge 1.21.1 (after a few more content updates)
  • The Hunter and Jockey zombies, but I don't know how they should work in Singleplayer scenarios, how should a player be let go? Any suggestions?
