Your Hunter journey starts on Whale Island.

Explore a world inspired by Hunter x Hunter, follow story quests, face dangerous creatures and develop your own fighting style. Train your attributes, awaken your Nen and master Hatsu abilities inspired by characters from the series—solo or alongside friends.

Active development — Alpha 0.2.0. The adventure is growing, but the full Hunter Exam and later story arcs are not finished yet. Expect bugs, balance changes and new content. Feedback and bug reports are welcome!

🏝️ Explore beyond Whale Island

Begin on a custom whale-shaped island, featuring a village, harbor, lighthouse, forests, mountains and the Lake Master's lake.

As you progress, travel aboard the Captain's ship to Dolle Harbor, explore its shops and market stalls, and follow the forest trail toward Zaban and the Hunter Exam.

These locations are built into the Minecraft world, with wilderness beyond them for exploration and survival.

The quest menu organizes the adventure into connected story arcs, with objectives, requirements, progress and rewards.

Whale Island Arc

• 12 quests involving fishing, hunting, exploration and training.
• Meet Mito, Gon and the Captain.
• Face the Foxbear and take on the Lake Master fishing challenge.

Hunter Exam Arc — partially implemented

• Arrive at Dolle Harbor and overcome the Quizzing Lady's challenge.
• Meet the Kiriko guides and prove yourself in combat.
• Discover the password to the restaurant's hidden entrance.
• Keep pace with Satotz during the tunnel race.
• Face Hisoka in a dangerous combat encounter.
• Hunt Great Stamps, cook their meat and serve Buhara in the Gourmet trial.

Play with friends through the party system. Cooperation matters, but some trials—such as Satotz's race—judge each participant individually.

💪 Build your character

Progress up to level 60 and distribute points across five attributes:

• Strength: melee damage and additional health.
• Dexterity: movement speed, attack speed, dodge chance and stamina.
• Constitution: health, defense and endurance.
• Intelligence: aura efficiency and ability scaling.
• Spirit: aura reserves, recovery and ability scaling.

Manage stamina during movement and combat, and aura when using Nen. Your attributes, equipment and chosen character shape how you fight.

🌀 Awaken and master Nen

Awaken your Nen, choose your aura color and develop mastery through use.

Train Ten, Zetsu, Ren, Gyo, Shu, Ken, En, Ko and Ryu, with separate Gyo applications. Hold X to access the radial technique wheel.

Nen includes custom aura effects visible to other players, sensory techniques and combat abilities. Use Water Divination from level 20 to choose your character and begin unlocking Hatsu.

⚔️ Character-inspired Hatsu

Choose a character-inspired class with its own progression, controls and abilities:

• Gon: Jajanken and close-range pressure.
• Killua: lightning techniques, electrical resources and Godspeed.
• Kurapika: chains, healing, restraint and Emperor Time.
• Chrollo / Kuroro: Skill Hunter and a repertoire of stolen abilities.
• Netero: Shingen-ryu movement and the 100-Type Guanyin Bodhisattva.
• Hisoka: physical card projectiles and Bungee Gum techniques.
• Illumi: needles, marks, servants and disguise.
• Kite / Kaito: Crazy Slots and its weapon-dependent fighting styles.

Silva is also available as an experimental class, with an initial aura-orb ability. His kit is still being developed.

Abilities unlock and improve as you level up. Character-specific controls and descriptions are available in the Abilities menu.

💰 Trade and develop your Hunter career

Earn Jenny from quests and spend it at HxH merchants on supplies, weapons and equipment. Vanilla villagers keep their normal emerald trades.

The personal Hunter License interface introduces six professions:

Gourmet · Archaeologist · Scientist · Beast Hunter · Treasure Hunter · Blacklist Hunter

The initial profession system includes 12 distinct, multi-stage contracts, daily and weekly offers based on Minecraft world days, reputation, collections and rewards such as Jenny, items and enchantments. Cooperative contracts are available too.

Alpha availability: the final Hunter Exam phase is not implemented yet, so the license cannot currently be earned through the complete story. Operators can grant it with /hxh license to try the profession system.

🎒 Weapons, outfits and wildlife

Discover equipment inspired by the series, including character outfits, fishing gear, yo-yos, a skateboard, cards, needles and other weapons.

Encounter creatures such as Night Wolves, Alpha Wolves, Rock Tortoises and Great Stamps. Some beasts can break trees with powerful impacts—cover may not keep you safe forever.

🎮 Getting started

1. Install the mod for Minecraft 26.2 with NeoForge 26.2.0.90.
2. Create a new world using the Default world type to experience the intended starting area.
3. Begin on Whale Island and open H → Quests to follow the story.

To test the Hunter Exam without replaying Whale Island:

Then use /hxh dolle. Completing an arc through this command grants its remaining quest rewards and changes your progression.

Practice bosses do not advance story quests or grant XP and drops. Summon them in an open area outside protected towns.

❓ FAQ

Can I play with friends?
Yes. The mod supports multiplayer and includes a party system. Install it on both the server and participating clients.

Can I include it in a modpack?
Yes!

Does this download include the full modpack?
No. This download contains Hunter x Hunter Craft itself. Optional mods, shaders and animation mods are separate.

Is the full Hunter Exam available?
Not yet. The opening trials through the Gourmet stage are playable; later phases remain in development.
