About this project

What does Verity Gateway Addon add?

Verity Gateway Addon adds Russian speech support and configurable AI connections to Verity JE.

Play using your own API keys without running a gateway, or connect to a separately configured gateway.

Features

  • Personal API mode: Gemini for dialogue, Groq for microphone transcription, and the free Fish Audio S2.1 Pro route on OpenRouter for generated speech.
  • A unified AI and Voice settings tab in Verity’s configuration screen, with masked API-key fields and an optional HTTP proxy.
  • Russian translations of fixed Verity chat messages.
  • Eight built-in Russian recordings for fixed lines, including pain and scream sounds. These recordings play locally without API requests.
  • An embedded voice reference for generated speech.
  • Speech interruption and cancellation of pending requests.
  • Personal provider keys are stored outside the instance directory and are not included in the addon.

Getting started
Install this addon with Verity JE 5.7.4 and its required libraries on Minecraft 1.20.1 / Forge.
Open Mods > Verity JE > Config > AI and Voice, choose Own API keys, enter your personal Gemini, Groq and OpenRouter keys, and save.
The same settings screen is available from the Better Brain configuration entry.
For single-player, no gateway, Python installation or local AI model is required in personal API mode.
For a dedicated server, its administrator must configure the server’s AI access separately; players’ client-side keys are not sent to the server.

Free API access is subject to each provider’s account eligibility, quotas and availability. There is no automatic paid-provider fallback in personal API mode. Gemini usage and billing follow your own Google project settings and selected model.

This version includes unmodified Smiley’s Better Brain 3.1.0 and Smiley’s Better Vision 2.0.2 by Toast5 as nested dependencies. Their original names, authorship and license information are preserved. They are not our original work. Do not install duplicate standalone copies alongside this bundled version.
