About this project
What does GTORenders add?
GTORender
A small library mod shared by the GregTech Odyssey mods (Minecraft 1.20.1, Forge). It adds no blocks, items or gameplay of its own; install it only because another mod requires it.
What it provides
- Batched effect frame: block entity renderers submit effects during the frame, and all of them are drawn together in one pass after block entities.
- Particle rings: closed rings or multi-strand helices made of voxel particles, glow sprites and ribbons, generated on the GPU so that thousands of particles cost almost nothing on the CPU.
- Effect timing and colors: smooth fade-in when a machine starts and fade-out when it stops, and color shades derived from a single base color.
If the graphics driver lacks the required OpenGL features, the effects are switched off and nothing else is affected.
Requires Forge for Minecraft 1.20.1 and Java 21. Client-side rendering only, but it must be installed on both client and server because the mods that use it are.
