About this project

What does WT Workshop add?

WT Workshop

Build a tool worth keeping.

WT Workshop adds modular tools made from interchangeable heads, handles and bindings or guards. Choose materials for their stats and traits, then keep improving your equipment through use, repairs, part swaps and modifiers.

Features

  • Eight tool types: pickaxe, axe, shovel, hoe, sword, hammer, excavator and broad axe.
  • A Part Builder for patterns and non-metal parts, a Smeltery for melting/alloying/casting, and a Tool Station for assembly and upgrades.
  • Tool XP and leveling with configurable durability, speed and modifier-slot rewards.
  • Separate upgrade and ability slots, plus three ordered expansion braces.
  • Modifiers including Haste, Luck, Sharpness, Reinforced, Fiery, Siphoning and more. Several completed modifiers visibly change the tool.
  • Before/after station previews with exact ingredient costs, slot changes and full details on hover.
  • Optional native JEI and EMI lookup pages.
  • A Java addon API for pack-specific modifiers. WT BeeBlock Workshop is the first separate addon.

Getting started

Craft a Part Builder and Tool Station. Make reusable patterns, create a matching set of starter parts, then assemble your tool at the station. Use a Smeltery and casts when you move into metal parts. Recipe lookup through JEI or EMI is recommended for learning the crafting and casting steps.

Use your tools to earn tool XP. Add modifier ingredients at the Tool Station; small batches preserve partial progress. Leveling opens more slots, but you still supply the ingredients.

The full player guide, with every material, modifier and recipe, is at whotevatech.github.io/wt-workshop.

Beta information and support

This is the first public beta. Balance and the addon API may change. Please report issues on GitHub and include the mod version, NeoForge version, other relevant mods, reproduction steps and latest.log or a crash report.

An optional BeeBlock-specific FTB Quests tutorial chapter is provided as an extra download. It is separate from the mod and expects the BeeBlock quest book; FTB Quests is not required for normal play.
