The Dream Table
The Dream Table projects a classic redstone farm as a hologram, then builds it one block per second after you deliver the materials.

About this project
What does The Dream Table add?
The Dream Table
The Dream Table is a block that builds vanilla farms for you. You pick a farm, place a hologram where you want it, deliver the materials, and the table builds it block by block.
How it works
- Craft the table (lapis lazuli, paper and oak planks) and place it.
- Pick a farm from the menu. A small model of it appears above the table.
- Aim and right-click to place the hologram. Press R to rotate it. If the spot can't be used, the hologram turns red and says why.
- Deliver the materials to the clipboard next to the table. It lists every block the farm needs.
- Press Build. The table places the blocks and waits if one is missing, continuing as soon as you deliver it.
Farms
Sugar Cane, Bamboo, Crop Farm, Mob Farm and Iron Farm. More farms will be added over time.
Your own schematics
Any .nbt, .schem or .litematic file of up to 16,384 blocks placed in your schematics folders appears under My Schematics and can be built the same way. On a server, players see the server's schematics without needing the files.
Building options
- Build speed: Slow, Normal, Fast or a custom value.
- Swap materials for other blocks of the same shape, such as spruce instead of oak.
- Pause and resume the build at any time.
- Discard an unfinished build to have it taken apart and your materials returned.
- In Creative mode, farms are built without materials.
My Farms
Lists every farm you have finished, with its location and status. From there you can:
- Keep a farm loaded while you play, so it keeps working when you are far away.
- Repair a farm, placing only the blocks that are missing.
- Take a farm down and get its blocks back.
You also get a message when a farm's storage is full.
Safety
- Blocks in the way are cleared, but chests, spawners, redstone and other blocks with data are never removed.
- Farms can't be built on top of each other.
- Spawn protection and land claims are respected.
Multiplayer
Each player has their own project at the same table, and their progress is only visible to them.
For Server Owners
config/the_dream_table.properties sets the maximum build speed, how many farms each player can keep loaded, and whether farms stay loaded while players are offline. The block tag the_dream_table:protected
marks blocks that builds should never clear.
Inspiration and Credits
The Dream Table was inspired by a Minecraft Bedrock mod that introduced me to the idea behind automated farm construction. The Dream Table is an independently developed Minecraft Java mod with its own implementation, features, and ongoing development.
