About this project
What does BetterBeacon add?
BetterBeacon
Make your beacon reach farther by building a taller pyramid.
Vanilla beacons stop gaining range at four pyramid layers. BetterBeacon removes that cap: each additional complete layer increases the effect radius by 10 blocks.
Effect Range
| Pyramid layers | Effect radius |
|---|---|
| 1 | 20 blocks |
| 2 | 30 blocks |
| 3 | 40 blocks |
| 4 | 50 blocks |
| 5 | 60 blocks |
| 6 | 70 blocks |
The mod has no fixed layer limit. It is limited only by the world's height: the pyramid is checked down to the world's minimum build height.
Vanilla Beacon Behavior
- Works exactly like vanilla up to 4 layers.
- Each layer must be a complete square of valid beacon base blocks (layer 5 is 11×11, layer 6 is 13×13, and so on).
- Beacon beams, effect selection, and effect application follow vanilla rules.
- No new blocks, menus, or configuration are added.
Compatibility
Requires NeoForge 1.21.1. Server-side only.
